REGINA VEREMAKIS

Obituary of REGINA VEREMAKIS Regina Constance Veremakis, 56, of Eustis passed away Monday September 15, 2014. She was born in Stamford, Connecticut where she lived for 8 years before moving to Belleville, Illinois, then Brookfield, Connecticut and in 1989 to Eustis, Florida. From 2010 until 2014 she resided at the loving and caring Orlando group home-Lasting Moments, Inc. Regina had been employed many years by Friendly's Restaurant in Connecticut and then by Quincy's Restaurant in Leesburg where she retired in 2001. She was very active in the Special Olympics and medaled many times in Bowling, Swimming and Bocci. She was an avid baseball enthusiast which brought her much joy. The St. Louis Cardinals fans were finally rated number one in 2014 " but Regina's commitment to the Cardinals should have put them on top every year! Regina was a happy spirit, always smiling and giving out hugs to everyone. She was truly a wonderful sister and gift to our family. She was predeceased by her father, Dr. Constantine Veremakis in 2002, her mother, Josephine D. Veremakis in 2011, her nephew Tyler Veremakis Robinson in 1988 and her great niece Alexandria Rae Veremakis in 2010. Survivors include: brothers, Dean Stephen (Susan) Veremakis of Atlantic Beach, FL, Dr. Christopher (Laura) Veremakis of St. Louis , MO; sister, Elise (Tom Robinson) Veremakis of Eustis, FL; twelve nieces and nephews, Damon Veremakis, Mathias Veremakis, Lucas (Lorena) Veremakis, Alexis (Marc) Mauldin, Mehra (Michelle) Veremakis, Ian Veremakis, Evan Veremakis, Matthew Veatch, Anya Veremakis, Brittany V. Robinson, Mackenzie V. Robinson, Delaney V. Robinson and three great nephews Logan, Alexander and Avery. Services A mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 19, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Eustis. The family will receive friends at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church prior to the mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment Burial at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell will follow mass.
