Obituary of Patsy Klau Patsy R. Klau, 83, of 821 Lake Port Boulevard, Leesburg, FL, died January 15, 2011, in Lake Harris Health Center, Leesburg, FL, after a brief illness. A memorial service for friends is to be held on Tuesday, January 18, at 11am in the lobby of the West Building of Lake Port Square, located at 821 Lake Port Boulevard, Leesburg, FL. She is to be cremated, and will be interred at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Milwaukee, and a family memorial service will be held there at a date to be announced later. Patsy was born on January 21, 1927, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to James P. and Irene (Dauer) Dawson, and had a successful career as a retail banker in Bowie, MD, until retiring to Florida in 1988. Patsy was an active member in both the Wisconsin and Maryland Clubs in Florida; and a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Leesburg, FL. She had lived in Wisconsin, California and Maryland, before retiring to Florida. Patsy is survived by her brother, James P. Dawson (wife, Mary Ann) of Lac Du Flambeau, WI; sons Richard J. (wife, Molly) of Radnor, PA; Christopher R. (wife, Debi) of Millersville, MD; grandchildren Richard P (wife, Robin)., Kevin A (wife, Erin), Lauren K. Dundas (husband, David) and Heather D.; and five great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents; her loving husband, Richard W. Klau, and her sister Shirley Olde. Patsy was a strong and independent woman, who embraced her family with passion, and her friends with warmth, a smile, and a hug. Her extended community of friends at Lake Port Square (residents and staff both) had become like family to her, and they gave her great comfort and support during her time at Lake Port, and during her illness. And her friendships at Bethany Lutheran Church were also very important to her during her time there.
