Obituary of Norman Hoyt Norman C. Hoyt, 89, Lady Lake, FL died Wednesday, January 16, 2013. He was born in Somerville, MA and moved to Florida in 1989 from Waltham, MA. He was a US Navy WWII veteran, PT Boat 507, serving on D-Day. He was a member of VFW Post 10126, past commander, Post Surgeon, Knights of Columbus and was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church. He enjoyed a long career as a meat cutter and department supervisor at the Waltham Supermarket in Massachusetts. His hobbies included model building, photography, sports, music and golf. He also enjoyed hunting and camping. He volunteered with the Special Kids, Inc and Special Olympics and assisted as a photographer during their events. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be sadly missed by all. Survivors include his beloved wife Mary "Tess" of 67 years, 5 children: Richard; Arizona; Dianne Hoyt Latter, Mass.; Kenneth, New Hampshire; Karen Hoyt Stanley, Florida; Michael, Mass.; 18 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Calling hours will be held at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home on Monday, January 21, 2013 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM with prayers at 4:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 8:30 AM at St. Timothy Catholic Church. Interment with committal service will follow in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Villagers for Hospice, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162 or a charity of your choice.
