Linda Kay Williams

Linda Kay Williams soul entered Heaven on Wednesday October 25, 2023, from her home in Marion County, FL. She was 67 years old. Linda was born in Columbus, OH on December 15, 1955, to Edna Eaton (Williams) and James C. Williams. She was a compassionate sister to her big brother, James D. Williams. After her family moved to Leesburg (FL) she quickly made friends, several of whom she kept close to her until the day she passed away. Linda had a genuinely loving heart and poured every ounce of herself into those she loved. She donated her whole being to those that may have needed her. She would help bring food to local shelters, never met an animal she couldn’t help in some way, and she was physically/mentally/spiritually present whenever asked (or even when not asked). She was a force of nature in all the best ways and could make you laugh when even in the worst mood. Her kindness and compassion were contagious… so was her laugh. Linda was a small business owner for most of her life. She provided bookkeeping and accounting work for many and that is another avenue for which she could help those around her. Linda would come to have a daughter, Cambria, whom she loved unconditionally. Linda wore numerous hats throughout her life, and she always managed to dominate them all. Linda gained a son-in-law, Michael, and loved him like the son she never had. Then, she became a Maw Maw, that was her most beloved hat. She wore it loud and proud and bragged about Annabelle (Bean) any chance she got. Being surrounded by family and friends was an extremely significant component of what filled Linda with joy. She savored relaxing vacations to the mountains and fun excursions with her friends. She treasured being at Sunday school, and quiet moments at home with her puppies watching shows or playing computer games. She enjoyed participating at trivia and gathering with friends to chat. She was the epitome of a best friend; she will be deeply missed. She is survived by her daughter Cambria Cayton, her son-in-law Michael Cayton, and her granddaughter Annabelle Cayton (Bean) of Wildwood. She is also survived by extended family and friends whom she loved very much. She is preceded in death by her mother Edna Eaton (Williams), her father James Curtis Willams, and her brother James David Williams. Linda hated funerals, so there will be a ‘Pre-Thanksgiving Roast’ for Linda allowing us to share our treasured memories with one another. This will be an informal (come as you are) gathering to celebrate our love for her and enjoy some of her favorite desserts. If you aren’t up to speaking, that’s ok, just write down your story and we will read it for you. If you cannot attend, you can email it as well.
