Obituary of Lenore Busser Lenore Ellen Cook Busser of Lady Lake, Florida, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at the age of 88 surrounded by family. She was born on October 3, 1927, to parents Franz W. Cook and Alice Sterling Cook in Royal Oaks, Michigan. She graduated from Cleveland Heights High School, Cleveland Heights, Ohio in 1945. She married Roland Peter Busser on February 26, 1949 and they enjoyed 59 years of marriage before he passed away on March 16, 2008. Along with raising their six children, Lenore worked as an interior designer with Higbee's. In 1989, she and her husband retired to The Village of Country Club Hills in a relatively new retirement community called The Villages. She was an active member at the North Lake Presbyterian Church, volunteering weekly at Operation Homebound. Lenore was a member and correspondence secretary of the Ohio Club and the organizer for the Orchid Street Christmas party and social affairs. She additionally founded a ladies traveling golf group that at one time had up to 50 players, many of whom have become close friends. She and her husband enjoyed traveling to many places around the world, including Hawaii, Alaska, Europe, South America, Australia, New Zealand and Russia. They also delighted in a few cruises with their children and their spouses. Her greatest joy in life was the company of her friends and, most especially, her family. Lenore is survived by her six children: Roland (Elaine) Busser of Lady Lake, Florida; Jim (Gini) Busser of Summerville, South Carolina; David (Judy) Busser of Huntersville, North Carolina; Laurie (Ed) Tillett of Flowery Branch, Georgia; Carrie (Glenn) Davey of Driftwood, Texas; and Eric (Lisa) Busser of Tampa, Florida. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and by sisters Joan Newell of Palm Harbor, Florida and Alice (Chuck) Nagy of Ohio as well as several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service followed by a reception on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 11:00 AM at North Lake Presbyterian Church, 975 Rolling Acres Road in Lady Lake, Florida.
