Lauri Ann (Koshiol) Grizzard

Lauri Ann (Koshiol) Grizzard, age 56, of Fruitland Park, Florida passed away peacefully on August 21, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. Lauri was surrounded by her family and so many dear friends who will continue Lauri’s legacy by living their lives to their fullest. Lauri was born in Elgin, Illinois on December 28th 1966 to parents William and Marjorie Koshiol. Lauri ultimately grew up in DeLand, Florida and graduated from DeLand High School. Lauri received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and went on to become a very successful realtor. After college, Lauri lived in the Lake County area for over 30 years and has been an amazing contribution to the local community. Lauri was passionate about real estate as she loved working with people and helping families and friends find their dream homes. Lauri’s proudest accomplishment are her two beautiful girls, Reese and Olivia Grizzard who will always be her rays of sunshine. Lauri was always stylish and loved life, traveling, and the ocean. Her bags were always packed and ready to see the world. Lauri lived her life with compassion for others and selflessness. Lauri is survived by her daughters Reese and Olivia Grizzard, her “wasband” and friend Gus Grizzard, mother Marjorie Koshiol, and her siblings Dan (Pam) Koshiol, Debbie (Rusty Loesch) Koshiol, Kurt (Stephanie) Koshiol, Keith (Tamela) Koshiol and Kristine (Darren) Elkind; many nieces, nephews and other extended family. Lauri was preceded in death by her father, William Koshiol and her family’s beloved dog Finley. Services will be held Saturday, August 26th at 10:00 A.M. at Morrison United Methodist Church at 1005 W. Main Street, Leesburg, Florida. A casual celebration of life will immediately follow the service at the Leesburg Boat Club located at 31 Dozier Circle, Leesburg, Florida (concluding at 2:30 P.M.).
