Laura Jean Worth December 29th 1959- June 9th 2025 Laura Jean Worth, 65yrs old, passed away peacefully on June 9th, 2025, after a brave and unwavering battle with Ovarian Cancer. She was surrounded by the love of her children in the comfort of her home. Laura was the heart and soul of her family- a pillar of strength and compassion. She married the love of her life, Leo Worth Jr, on November 9, 1991. Together they built a life rooted in deep devotion, constant laughter, and countless cherished memories, until his passing, which Laura faced with such grace and resilience. Laura’s deep love and commitment to her family, both immediate and extended, was the foundation of her life and greatest treasure. A devoted mother to her four children- Tiffany (Dane), Lexi (Colby), Leo III, and Olivia- and a proud and loving “Mimi” to her cherished grandchildren: Jacob (Priscilla), Julia, Jackson, Ethan, Ryder, and Axel; great-grandmother to Elliana and Adrian whose birth brought her immense happiness in the last years of her life. She is also survived by her loving mother, whom she cared for, Florence Xamplas, her brother Gerry Seiwert, and sister Linda (Charlie) Holzner. Born and raised in Chicago IL, Laura attended Good Counsel High School. Throughout her life, she remained closely connected to her roots and was blessed with a circle of lifelong friends who brought her constant joy, laughter, and unwavering support. She poured her heart into every role she held - daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her love was a fierce, steady, guiding force that touched everyone she met. She faced every challenge – including her illness – with courage and dignity. Even in her final days, her strength, class, and ferocious spirit shone brightly. This is the legacy she leaves behind that will live on in her children, grandchildren, great-grands and all who loved her. Though she is now reunited with her beloved Leo, her love continues to surround us, and her strength inspire us – a light we will carry always. A life celebration will be held Saturday, July 12th, 2025, at 2pm at Downs United Methodist Church.
