Obituary of Kathryne Frailey The family of Kathryne Winton Akins Scovill-Frailey is saddened to announce her passing on Monday, November 12th, 2012. Born in Dunnegan, Missouri on August 19th, 1917 to Ezra & Nell Akins, Kathryne married Harold Scovill on December 19th, 1937 in Guthrie, Oklahoma and moved, shortly thereafter, to Perry, Oklahoma where the couple successfully opened Scovill Tire & Supply. With her husband elected Mayor, Kathryne became "First Lady" of Perry from 1959-1963,Mr. & Mrs. Scovill moved to Leesburg, FL in January of 1964 where theyowned & operated Ditch Witch Trencher, Inc. of Florida. After the death of Harold on November 29, 1976, Kathryne continued to operate the business with her daughter Judy & son-in-law Tony Bjorn until her retirement due to technological issues in 1985. Married to Raymond Frailey of Perry, Oklahoma in 1987, they traveled the world together until his passing on July 28, 1991. An active member of Morrison United Methodist Church, Kathryne was a member of the Morrison's construction committee as well as the Daughters of the American Revolution, Order of the Eastern Star, Triangle Club & the Elkettes. She is survived by her son, William(Bill)Scovill & daughter-in-law Evelyn of Sarasota, Fl; grandson Bart & grand daughter-in-law Bettina & great grandchildren Tori & Sydney Scovill of Sarasota, FL; grandson Kirk & grand daughter-in-law Missy & grandchildren Morgan & Chase Scovill of Jacksonville, FL; daughter Judy Bjorn of Leesburg, FL; grandchildren Brooke Bjorn of Clermont, FL; Brig, granddaughter-in-law Sarah & great-grandchildren Isaac, Eric & Daphne Bjorn of Minneola, FL & Brock Bjorn of Tampa, FL. A funeral service will be held on November 17th, 2012 at 1PM at Morrison United Methodist Church in Leesburg, FL, interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to Morrison United Methodist Preschool.
