Judith Ann “Judy” Warren, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on June 27, 1941, in Lawrenceville, Ohio, Judy lived a life defined by devotion to family, enduring friendships, adventurous spirit, and unwavering kindness. Her warmth, generosity, and vibrant personality touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Magdalena Rader; her sister Donna Mae, her sister, Margia (Gene) Lobeck; and her brother, Richard (Norma) Rader. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 63 years, Thomas Warren, whose lifelong love story with Judy began when the two first met in the seventh grade. She is lovingly survived by her sister, Patti (Melvin) Backus; her brother, Donald (Barbara) Rader and partner Judy Kirby; her children, Kimberli (Philip) Bus of Naperville, Illinois, Bruce (Barbara) Warren of Noblesville, Indiana, and Kelli (Jonathan) Walters of Nashville, Tennessee; and her cherished grandchildren, Megan Bus, John Bus, Steven Bus, Sam Walters, and Emma Walters. Judy also leaves many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory. Judy attended elementary school in Lawrenceville, Ohio, Northwestern Junior High School in North Hampton, Ohio, and Northwestern High School, where she excelled both academically and socially. A proud member of the National Honor Society, she was also a spirited cheerleader and athlete throughout her junior and senior high school years. It was during the seventh grade that Judy first met the boy who would later become her beloved husband and lifelong partner, Tom. Following her graduation from Northwestern High School in 1959, Judy attended the Humbolt Institute, a flight services school in Minneapolis. Upon graduation, she began her career with American Airlines in Cleveland, Ohio, where she worked as a reservation agent. After marrying in 1962, Judy and Tom embarked on a wonderful life of adventure together, moving throughout the country as Tom’s career led them from Ohio to West Virginia, Kentucky, Maryland, the Chicago area, and back to Cleveland before retiring to Harbor Hills in Lady Lake, Florida, in 2002. Judy quickly became an active and beloved member of the Harbor Hills community. At Harbor Hills Country Club, she was known as a friend to everyone she met. A former Women’s Golf Net Champion, she was actively involved in the HH Ladies Charity and the Red Hat Society. She also dedicated countless hours volunteering at the Harbor Hills Kids Camp, where she lovingly earned the title of “Grandma Judy.” Her faith and compassion guided much of her life. Judy was an active member of Morningstar Cowboy Church at The Grand Oaks Equestrian Center and volunteered faithfully at the Morningstar Cowboy Church Ranch near Eustis, Florida, helping with youth camps and horse shows. Judy’s adventurous spirit carried her across the globe. She visited all fifty United States and traveled extensively to Sweden, Denmark, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Italy, and France. Cruises also took her through the Canadian Maritimes, the Inland Passage from Alaska to Vancouver, and many beautiful islands throughout the Caribbean Sea. Though she treasured travel and adventure, her greatest joy was always her family. Above all else, Judy was devoted to her children and grandchildren, who affectionately called her “G’ma.” She was a genuine “people person” with an abundance of spunk, warmth, humor, and compassion. Judy had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome, valued, and loved. Her joyful spirit and caring heart will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. Judy’s ashes will be interred at The Holy Cross Chapel in Sedona, Arizona, a place sacred to her heart, and at Meyers Cemetery in North Hampton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Judy’s honor to the Harbor Hills Ladies Charity or to the charity of your choice. The family is planning a Celebration of Life luncheon at a future date to honor and remember the remarkable life of Judith Ann Warren — a woman whose love, kindness, and light will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
