Obituary of Janice Doody Barrios JANICE AMELIA DOODY BARRIOS, of Leesburg, Florida formerly of Sabattus, Maine died on November 22, 2010 in Orlando, Florida. She was born in Old Town, Maine and was a resident of Maine most of her life. The daughter of Raymond W. Durette and Dorothy E. (Moody) Durette Colburn, Janice was married to the late Merrill G. Doody Jr. who passed away on April 10, 1988. Janice was employed with Mobile Home Sales and Service. She owned and managed M&M Mobile Home Park in Lisbon, Maine and Birchwood Estates Mobile Home Park in Lewiston, Maine. Family was always important to her. Janice loved to make others smile and laugh. Holidays were her favorite time of year. She made fantastic enormous homemade meals. The door was always open, welcoming all to join. Janice was an active member of the AMVETS Aux. Post 2006, Eagles, Elks and Moose Clubs for many years. She had great pleasure in helping out in the community, including preparing and sending care packages overseas. Janice is survived by her husband of several years, J. Donald Barrios; one son Richard E. Buckley Jr. and wife Brenda of York, Maine; two daughters Cynthia L. Dulac-Doucette and husband Michael of Monmouth, Maine and Samantha L. Doody Remington and husband William of Monmouth, Maine; a foster daughter Frances M. Ambrose of New Hampshire; one stepson Merrill G. Doody III and fiancee Cheryl of North New Portland, Maine; three stepdaughters Pamela Hadley and husband Milton of Winthrop, Maine; Debra Barrios of Winthrop, Maine and Gemma R. Moriarty and husband Kevin of Weymouth, Massachusetts. Two brothers Ovide Durette and wife Paula of Gainsville, Florida; Franklin Durette and wife Connie of Lewiston, Maine.5 sisters: Ethal Rae Davis and husband Herbert of Jonesboro, Arkansas; Patricia Labbe of Orlando, Florida; Frances Frenderson of Auburn, Maine; Rita Wine and husband Walter of Orlando, Florida; Celeste Soucy and husband Florian of Sabattus, Maine; stepfather Hebert Colburn of Auburn, Maine; eleven grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren and a step great granddaughter; an aunt, several nieces, nephews and cousins; many loving friends as well as dear friends Bill and Rita Coberley. Janice was predeceased by her grandparents, mother and father. Janice will be cremated by Beyers Funeral Home. Due to her wishes there will be no funeral services however there will be a memorial service at the AMVETS Post 2006 on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. with a dinner following. There will be a memorial service in Maine held at a later date.
