Obituary of James Marsh James Richard Marsh, 80, The Villages, FL passed away Thursday morning September 12, 2013 at The Villages Regional Hospital, The Villages. He was born on March 28, 1933 in Jackson, MI to John and Bertha Marsh. Jim graduated from Jackson High School and attended Jackson Community College. He was employed and retired from Aeroquip/Trinova Corporation in Jackson, MI after 34 years of service. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army after serving in the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post #347 and the 40 & 8. Jim and Wanda relocated to The Villages in 1997 from their home town of Jackson, MI. Jim enjoyed playing golf with the O.F. group, playing bocce ball, and the lifestyle in The Villages. James is survived by his wife Wanda Marsh, The Villages; daughter Debra Gilbert; grandchildren: Joshua James Gilbert and Amy Elaine Gilbert; great grandson: Isaac James Lee Merriweather, all from Jackson, MI; and brother: John Marsh Jr., Lady Lake, FL. James was preceded in death by his parents John and Bertha and son, Daniel Richard Marsh of AZ. There will be a Memorial Service at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 11:00 AM with visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Inurnment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Villages Hospice, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162; or the American Cancer Society, Lake-Sumter Unit, 1650 West Main Street, Suite 3, Leesburg, FL 334748. Visitation A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Services There will be a Memorial Service at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 11:00 AM.
