James Marvin Hall

Obituary of James Hall James M. Hall, so loved family member and friend went to his place in heaven March 1, 2017. We are at peace that he will have no more pain, suffering, or fear, but only joy ahead of him. Jim was born Oct 24, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan. He spent most of his growing up years on his grandparent's farm where he was loved by his grandparents, his sister, a special uncle, and other family. In 1955 he joined the Marines. No one was ever more proud to be a United States Marine. After returning home for family reasons he built a successful career as a Human Resource leader, Operations Manager and Company Director in the grocery industry. All his life he maintained the pride and dignity of a Marine. His family filled his life. His wife Linda; daughter and her husband, Julie and Bob Coppedge; son and his wife, Jim and Vicky Hall; and daughter and her husband, Missy and Denny Hartman;grandchildren, Leah Kinney, Erin Brooks, Roberta Shonk, Aleisha Hall, Erik Hartman and Kristin Hall; great grandchildren Bryce, Kiley, Hanah, Matthew and Alexander, sister Valerie, and first wife Nancy Mcfee, along with many other relatives blessed his life with love and belonging. He was such a golfer! He loved the game from the first time he played. He loved to play however his passion was to teach. He spent many wonderful hours on golf courses throughout the world. He was one of the original "good guys". He was a true gentleman. He would give you the shirt off his back and anyone could count on him to help make their journey lighter. He will be so missed, but after a short illness the family is glad for him that he will not face any further pain, suffering or fear. We know that he will make heaven a brighter place as he joins the golf league up there. God gained a special angel! A "Life Celebration" will be held to celebrate Jim's life on Saturday March 11, 2017 in Stow Ohio. At a later date a memorial service will be held in the Plantation in Leesburg Florida. Please feel free to stop by and visit with the family at 4301 Darrow Road Stow, Ohio. We will be there beginning at 1:00pm, have a service at 3:00pm and then hang out into the evening.
