Holly Jean Cowles

My Only love, Holly Cowles, passed from this world to our Lords Heaven via her suffering death in this world as the door opened to eternal life in God's kingdom on March 16, 2019 at Shands, University of Florida Hospital in Gainesville, Fl. "Enjoy your new perfect body Holly"! Holly was born March 26, 1945 in Burlington, Vermont to Malcolm & Edna Farrell. She had 2 brothers and 4 sisters, plus many nieces and nephews whom were loved by her. She was preceded in death by her parents & a brother, James Farrell and a sister, Kathleen Gokey. Family survivors include: sisters: Janice Gokey, Betty Bergeron, and Debbie Butler and a brother Malcolm Farrell. Holly was married to Randall, (Randy), Cowles for 53 years and had two sons, Craig Cowles and Richard Cowles, who beget one granddaughter per each, named: Alyssa and Ashley whom respectively beget one great granddaughter per each, Emma and Brailynn who all reside in Vermont. Holly had many interests and was not afraid to pursue unknown territory. In Vermont she enjoyed her snow machine and motorcycle. She started a day care which included her own 2 children at home and also an aerobics class. After that she drove school bus, which led her to a position as a teacher's aide. She then was a receptionist at several businesses. She was so proud when she could buy her own Subaru pickup, "How to go love". She moved to Florida in 2000, with some apprehension, as she had End Stage Kidney disease and was on dialysis 3 days per week. She received a kidney transplant in 2002. She never complained, just went for her interests. She was a member of the Red Hats society. Holly loved to play golf and started a golf club in the Villages called, "The Golf Chicks", which is still active. She also started a tea party club which celebrated the Victorian dress style. She was the Queen sewed her own dresses. She was a synchronized swimmer in a swim team. Holly created a small business named: Miss Hollys Tasty Pastries. She was a member of NCUMC church. She worked with the church's children and volunteered with the Food Pantry and made gardening known to children in our church. Holly created her own setup for karaoke and performed at Villages Rec Centers. She was about to get a group together for The Villages Put and Play course. Holly was in the process of planting many seeds to make her a viewing garden of flowers for everyone's enjoyment. A memorial service will be held at New Covenant United Methodist Church located @at 3470 Woodridge Drive, The Villages, FL on April 12, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.
