Helen Rita Krenzer

Helen Rita Krenzer passed away at the age of 98 on January 8th, 2024 in Leesburg, FL of natural causes. Helen was born in Wilkes Barre, PA on April 18th, 1925 to Peter and Sophie Garwacki. She attended St. Peters and Paul’s Catholic School and Sacred Heart Catholic School and graduated a year early because she skipped 2nd grade and was promoted to 3rd grade. Helen had two brothers, John and Matthew and four sisters Stella, Josephine, Mary and Victoria. She had many nieces and nephews Helen is preceded in death by her beloved husband Curtis Ray Krenzer (10/21/08) and two sons Raymond Krenzer (10/29/1986) and John (Panhead) Krenzer (3/26/21). Helen married Curtis on August 31, 1946 with a double wedding with her sister Jo (Josephine) and Ziggy Popielarski. Helen’s husband Curtis adored and cherished her throughout his life and the four beautiful children. Helen is survived by two daughters Janet Zebron (Jerry) and Karen Collins (Michael). She leaves behind loving grandchildren James Lawton, Tina Younoszai (David), Julene Krenzer, Kelly Mercer, Shelly Williams (James), Jarrett Mercer, Paul and Tyler Canterbury, Megan Thomas (David), Molly Fitzpatrick (David) and Morgan Cates (Jacob). Helen leaves behind several great grandchildren Nicholas and Levi Younoszai, William, Willow, Stephanie and Jenson Lawton, Evan and Blake Morningstar, Miles, Wyatt and Stella Thomas, Jasmine, Kaylee and Brynn Fitzpatrick and John and Joseph Cates. The legacy of their marriage was celebrated for 62 years. They loved Sunday dinners with their adult children and spending time with the whole family. We celebrate the beauty of the life she lived and the love she shared with family and friends she met throughout her life. She will be dearly missed, but forever remembered in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Helen always tried anything new at least once. She left home with her best friend right after graduating high school to work at Social Security Offices in Maryland as a Keypunch Operator. She lived in a boarding house and enjoyed the nightlife of Baltimore and the street cars. Many nights they rolled up the dining room rug and had a party at home with dancing. Our beloved Helen loved to dance and sing. Helen always enjoyed a cold beer with dinner. Later in life she enjoyed being at home with the family and watching the Waltons and Mother Theresa. Helen was a devout Catholic dedicated member of St. Jane Frances de Chantel Catholic Church. Mass, Christian Burial and Memorial will be celebrated at St. Jane Frances de Chantal on April 18th 2024 (her birthday) in Pasadena, MD at 10am. Arrangements entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home of Leesburg, Florida.
