Frank Aliquo

Obituary of Frank Aliquo Frank J. Aliquo Jr., 85, passed away on October 25, 2012 at The Villages, FL. Born in South Fork, PA on October 11, 1927, Frank was the second of four sons born to Frank and Rose (Vitale) Aliquo. He was a star basketball player for South Fork High School and later went on to play on the US Army traveling team during WWII. Frank graduated from Williamsport Technical Insitute as a master tool and dye maker and worked for Bethlehem Steel in Johnstown, PA before finding employment with Hour Glass Cleaners in Portage, PA. Frank was a very hard working and dedicated employee and was soon offered a promotion to manage stores in Providence, RI and Hartford, CT. He later went on to become the owner/operator of these stores in addition to opening a store in Manchester, CT, where he was a long time resident. Upon retiring to Florida, Frank became an award winning real estate broker in the Port St. Lucie area, before finally relocating to The Villages. Frank was a proud lifetime member of the Elks and held several chairs in the Manchester chapter. He loved to play golf and enjoyed spending his summers in Westerly, RI. He was an excellent dancer and enjoyed listening to Big Band era music. He will be remembered for his big smile and hearty laugh. He is survived by his wife, Victoria (Salem) and their daughter, Deborah and husband Robert Borello (Bolton,CT); grandchildren Sarah Martin and husband Robert (Seattle, WA), Rob Borello (Waterbury, CT), and Rebecca Borello and partner Elaine Stoll (Cincinnati, OH); brothers Benjamin Aliquo and James and Rae Aliquo (The Villages, FL) and Dominick and Lucy Aliquo (Allentown, PA) as well as many nieces and nephews. A family and friends gathering will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. with a memorial service at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at the Beyers Funeral Home in Lady Lake, FL. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Villages Hospice, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162 or Alzheimer's Foundation of America. Visitation A family and friends gathering will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Services A memorial service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at the Beyers Funeral Home in Lady Lake, FL.
