Edward Michael Wayte

On Wednesday, August 28, 2019, Edward Michael Wayte of Bushnell, loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather passed away at home surrounded by family after a difficult battle with Cancer at the age of 62. Edward was born on September 3, 1956 to Norman and Mary Wayte in Watertown, New York. Edward's father passed while his mother was still pregnant with him. Having been raised by his older siblings and Mother, he grew up with a strong sense of family and how important it is to treasure the time you have with each other. Edward was a veteran having served in the United States Army. On June 29,1979, Edward married the love of his life, Michele. From there they had 3 children; Casey, Jonathan, and Adam. In the Summer of 1997 he and his family moved to Florida where they still reside. Edward and Michele recently celebrated 40 years of marriage. Edward was an incredible man with a heart of gold. He was fiercely protective of his family but was also willing to help anyone in need. He was the most loving Father, Husband, Grandfather, Son, Uncle, and Friend. He would go out of the way to help anyone he could. He was a lover of all music. His compassion for animals was unparalleled and he instilled that love into his children. Edward loved to fish, watch NASCAR and baseball especially the New York Yankees, go swimming, and most of all spending time with his family. Edward was preceded in death by his Father- Norman John Wayte Sr. Mother- Mary Denicola-Wayte. Brother -Francis Wayte. He is survived by his Wife -Michele Marie Wayte. Daughter- Casey Marie Robertson. Her Husband -William Russell Robertson. Son -Michael Jonathan Wayte ( previous relationship) Son -Jonathan Michael Wayte. Son -Adam Joseph Wayte. Sister in Law -Marlynne McGrath. Brother in law -Chuck McGrath. Sister- Donna Leon. Brother- Norman Wayte Jr. Granddaughter- Gracie Mary Sue Robertson and 7 other granddaughters and 2 grandsons. 4 nephews and 3 nieces. Edward has requested to be cremated. Services will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Please speak with the family for date and time. In lieu of flowers the family request monetary donations for aftercare cost and financial support for his widow.
