Obituary of Edmond Walsh Edmond Patrick Walsh, age 70, of The Villages, Florida and formerly of Essex Junction, Vermont, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 30, 2013. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, May 6, 2013 at Beyers Funeral Home in Lady Lake, Florida. Ed was born in Berlin, New Hampshire on January 29, 1943 and graduated from Berlin High School in 1960. He was married to Louise Durant on July 1, 1961; they were married for nearly 52 years. Ed worked as a Senior Manufacturing Superintendent at IBM and retired with 30 years of service. After retiring from IBM, he served 5 years as Vice President of Manufacturing for International Microcircuits Incorporated in Silicon Valley, California. He also completed a one year assignment as Vice President and General Manager at CS2 in Zaventem, Belgium. Ed served as a volunteer advisor for SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives), Chapter 414 since 2002 and was the President of the IBM Retirees Club in The Villages, Florida for the past 8 years. He was proud to be an Eagle Scout and was a member of the National Eagle Scout Association. His passion for business continued after moving to El Santiago where family and friends knew him as an informal salesman/ambassador for The Villages. Ed is survived by his wife Louise of The Villages, Florida, his daughter Debby Rothenberger of Littleton, New Hampshire; daughter Kim and husband Greg Cushman of South Paris, Maine; son Steve and wife Sheila Walsh of Springboro, Ohio; son Jon and his wife Linda Walsh of Essex Junction, Vermont. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Kelli Rothenberger, Amy Frye, Tim Rothenberger, Shaun Walsh, Caity Walsh, Kayla Cushman and Jordan Walsh. Ed was emphatically proud of all of his grandchildren and showed his support by being their biggest cheerleader in all aspects of their lives. The family would like to especially acknowledge the exceptional love and support of fellow Villagers Roland and Lorraine Morin and Fred Denno. He is also survived by his father Patrick Walsh and Helen of Wethersfield, Connecticut; sister Kathy and husband Ed Lescoe of Farmington, Connecticut; sister Patricia Michalski of Rocky Hill, Connecticut; sister Maureen Klapatch of Wethersfield, Connecticut; sister Agnes and husband Gilbert Reynolds of Wethersfield, Connecticut; brother Michael and his wife Janice of East Hartford, Connecticut. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, May 6, 2013 at Beyers Funeral Home in Lady Lake, Florida. Ed was a very charitable person and supported numerous causes too many to list.
