Obituary of Dr. Edith Robacker Dr. Edith Mary Robacker, 70, The Villages, FL died on Sunday, September 29, 2013. She was born in St. Mary's, PA and moved to The Villages in 2002 from Clarksville, Maryland. She was Catholic by faith and a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church in Lady Lake, FL. She spent 37 years as an educator/administrator training teachers, and curriculum writing. She was in the Visual Arts Association, The Villages Art League, calligrapher and water color artist; docent at the Appleton Museum of Art and on the Advisory Committee. She was involved in the Knights of Columbus, on the pastoral council, a minister to the sick, she initiated the chalice for the priesthood vocations program, Worldwide Marriage Encounter, a member of Orlando Vivos Christi Committee. She was a ballroom dancer, scuba diver, loved golf and was an avid sailor on the Chesapeake Bay for twenty years. Survivors include her husband; Francis Joseph Robacker, The Villages and Sister Susan (James) Latham, The Villages; 5 nephews and 5 nieces. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 PM where a prayer vigil service will be held at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 4, 2013 at St. Timothy Catholic Church at 10:30 AM with Father Ed Waters, celebrant. Inurnment will be in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL on Monday, October 7, 2013. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Appleton Museum of Art, 4333 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, FL 34470, (352)291-4455.
