Obituary of Dorothy Schultz Dorothy Elizabeth Schultz, 76, The Villages, FL died on Tuesday, January 21, 2014. She was born in Manhattan, NY and moved to The Villages 14 years ago from Hurley, NY. She was a Guidance Counselor at Kingston High School, NY and she was on the Lake Sumter State College Foundation Board from 2002 thru 2007. Dorothy was a caring person who had a positive influence on everyone she met. In high school and college, she was an outstanding student who received many awards for her achievements. In her professional life, as a college admissions counselor and later as a high school guidance counselor, she deeply enjoyed and took great pride in personally helping young people chart their course in life. Always a bright and sunny person, Dorothy cherished her friends and thoroughly enjoyed a vibrant social life. In her later years, she was a doting grandmother who loved to read, travel, quilt, needlepoint and crochet. She was preceded in death by two sons: Daniel Thomas Wynn and Christopher Allan Wynn. Survivors include her husband Robert Edward Schultz, The Villages, FL; two sons: William Andrew Wynn, Skillman, NJ; and Douglas Edward Schultz, San Francisco, CA and one grandchild: Nora Catherine Rocks Wynn. A memorial service will be held at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Dorothy E. Schultz Memorial Scholarship Fund at Lake-Sumter State College Foundation, Inc.
