Dorothy Elaine Magamoll

Obituary of Dorothy Magamoll Dorothy Elaine (Langlitz) Magamoll Dorothy "Dot" or "Dort" Magamoll, 83, was welcomed Home in the early morning hours of 7/11/15. Born to Arthur and Ida Langlitz on May 8, 1932, in Marinette, WI, Dort and her big sister, Bunny, experienced all the joys of growing up on the family farm. At the age of 17 Dort was crowned Snow Queen in her Wisconsin high school. On July 29, 1950, Dort married the milkman, Carl "Chuck" John Magamoll. In 1959 the Magamolls moved with their five children to Florida. Dort stayed busy raising her brood and helping other families in need. She was passionate about her pets and rescued many dogs and cats; her name could easily be changed to Dorothy Doolittle, Pet Lover. She frequented the Dog Park near LSSC with her beloved Misty. She was a Sunday School Teacher, Teacher's Aide and Girl Scout leader in the Umatilla area. She was a fabulous catcher for the Inland Equipment Ladies Softball Team in Leesburg. Many knew Dort as a bartender at Silver Lake Country Club, the Pewter Pub and the Elk's Club. Dorothy's latest passion for the past few years was serving as a volunteer at the Leesburg Food Bank. Dort worshipped at Good News Church of Central Florida and she demonstrated a Christian example for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceeded in death by her husband "Chuck" and her son Kelly Steven. Those of us who were blessed to call her Mom; daughter Kris (Phil) McEachern of Eustis; daughter Karla Lampp of Leesburg; son Kenny (Rhonda) Magamoll of Leesburg; son Kerry (Tammy) Magamoll of Leesburg. We called her Granny; Kayce (Sheldon) Walker of Leesburg; Kyle (Heather) Magamoll of Wildwood; Karson (Danielle) Magamoll of Fruitland Park; Kaylee Magamoll of Leesburg; Kuehl McEachern of Greenville, SC; Kelly Magamoll of Jacksonville, FL. Her precious great grandchildren called her G.G.; Kanyon and Kali Walker, Mason , Mackenzie "Maci," Keaton and Kaleb Magamoll. Family and friends will gather in an outdoor celebration of life for Dorothy at Creekside, 926 Shore Acres Drive, Leesburg, at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, with Pastor John Blake.
