Obituary of Dolores Rine Dolores Jane (Justice) Rine, 86, devoted wife and loving mother, passed away peacefully March 31, 2015 in Tavares, Fla. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 6, at Community United Methodist Church, Fruitland Park, with Rev. Michael Fordham officiating. The family will receive visitors after the service in the fellowship hall. Interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens in Pecks Mill, W. Va. Dolores was born March 12, 1929, in Charleston, W.Va. to Cleveland and Donna Mae (Hill) Justice. She is survived by her husband and best friend of over 61 years, Richard (Fruitland Park, Fla.); son, Michael, and his wife, Patty (Richmond, Texas); daughter, Donnagail Carr, and her husband, John (St. Louis); grandchildren, Carolyn Rine Adelman and husband Ian (Richmond, Tex.), Elizabeth Carr (New York) and Alicia Carr (New Orleans); brother, Robert Justice (Spartanburg, S.C.); sister, Ronnie Lee Davis, and her husband Bubba Bouchette (Walnut Cove, N.C.); and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and former students across the country. Dolores graduated from Sherman High School in Madison, W.Va. in 1947 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from Glenville State College in Glenville, W.Va. There she met Richard, from neighboring Calhoun County, and the two were married July 7, 1953 in Charleston. Dolores taught high school in Logan, W.Va. and Fredricksburg, Va. while Richard served in the Navy. They moved to Charleston in 1956 after he was discharged, where Dolores gave birth to their two children. The family moved to Wayne, Mich. in 1963, and Dolores resumed her teaching career at Jackson Elementary School, later moving to Taft-Galloway Elementary School. She would serve the Wayne-Westland Community School District for 21 years. Dolores was devoted to her students-she looked forward to each day of each year and treasured every moment she spent in the classroom, and she kept in contact with many of her students long after they left Wayne. Dolores and Richard retired to Florida in 1988, where she was active in the Fidelis Beta chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa, the Florida Chapter of Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel (MARSP), and Leesburg Lodge #1034 Women of the Moose. Both were members of Community United Methodist Church in Fruitland Park. Avid travelers, Dolores had visited all 50 states as well as the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Canada, and they took cruises to Alaska, the Pacific coast, the Caribbean, Colombia, Aruba, and through the Panama Canal.
