Obituary of David Susi David A. Susi, 82 of The Villages, FL died on Tuesday, July 13, 2010. He was born in New London, CT and moved to The Villages from Waterford, CT in 1991. He was a veteran of the US Navy, US Army and the National Guard with the Rank of M/SGT. Mr. Susi was a retired manager of the computer related training for the General Dynamics Corp and was a college instructor of Computer Science at Mohegan Community College, Norwich, CT. He was International Director of the Data Processing Management Association; the Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus; and past coach of Little League Baseball of New London, CT. He was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, the Connecticut Club, the Irish Club, and volunteered with the Special Olympics in The Villages, FL. He enjoyed golf, playing saxophone, vacations in Vermont, camping, traveling, his Villages lifestyle especially Bocce, shuffle board and hosting parties; and spending quality time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandson. He is survived by his wife Barbara Susi, The Villages, FL; son, Scott T. (Carolyn) Susi, Gorham, ME; daughter, Linda (Russell) Valvo, Alexandria, VA; sister, C. Rose Arendt, Waterford, CT; 7 grandchildren; and 1 great grandson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 8:30 AM on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at St. Timothy Catholic Church, The Villages, FL with Father Ed Waters officiating. Inurnment will follow the service at 10:30 AM on Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Villagers for Hospice, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162.
