Obituary of Daniel Hudson Daniel T. Hudson, born December 30, 1922 to Daniel C. and Marion Hudson in Fulton, New York moved to his heavenly home on July 16, 2011 in Leesburg, Florida. Dan served his country in the Marine Corp during WW II in the South Pacific. After the war, he married Lois Gaebler and was a dairy farmer in Fulton. In 1957, he moved his young family to Leesburg. He was a strong Christian man, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Lois; a brother, Henry(Beverly) Hudson; sisters, Sally Wilcox, Harriet Rowell, and Marian (Faye) Fanning; his children, Sue (Bruce) Cushingberry, Doris (H.R."Earl") Codding, Amy Nave, and David (Melodie) Hudson; daughter-in-law, Carol Ann Hudson; eight grandchildren, Kelley (Steve) Stirling, Jason (Natalie) Brundage, Brian Hudson, Amanda (Angelo) Oni, Melissa (John) Clegg, Sarah Hudson, Hannah Hudson, and Caulene Hudson; six great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Verner Hudson; a son, Chuck Hudson; and an infant great-grandson. He and Lois were members at Berean Baptist Church in Leesburg, then were instrumental in starting Tri-county Baptist Church and Woodbridge Baptist Church. Dan left his family a legacy of a steadfast witness for the Lord Jesus Christ and a strong, "can-do" work ethic. We all look forward to joining Chuck and him in heaven. A memorial celebration will be held on Friday, July 22, 2011 at 11:30 at Tri-county Baptist Church on Rolling Acres Road. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:30. Pastor David Johnson of Woodbridge Baptist Church will officiate. Dan would like us to remember, "It's not about me, it's all about Jesus Christ." The family would like to thank all our family and friends for their prayers and support during the last few months. Thanks also to Cornerstone Hospice in the Villages.
