Cynthia Cobb

Mrs. Cynthia Ann Stone Cobb, longtime resident of Bushnell, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose life centered around faith, family, love, and caring for others. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Stanley “Jimmy” Cobb Jr.; and her brothers, Louis Stone and Gene Stone. She is survived by her two loving and adoring daughters, Tammy Sabrina Cobb Boyd and Shannon Marie Cobb; her cherished grandchildren, Ashley Ann Gorby Hedrick, Luke Bronson Gorby, Jade Raquel Brown Baker, and Ian Alexander Cooper; and her precious great-granddaughter, Lilly Jade Baker. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Karen Marie Stone Nolte; nieces Cindy Brady Rogers and Christina Nicole Nolte Harper; several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who loved her deeply; and her beloved cousin, Maxine Scott, who traveled from Georgia to be by her side and support the family during her final days. She retired from GTE Federal Credit Union in Tampa after many years of dedicated service. Outside of work, her greatest joy was her family. Together, she and Jimmy built a life filled with love on their farm in Bushnell, where they enjoyed raising cows and chickens, tending vegetable gardens, and hosting family gatherings that became treasured memories for generations. She was known for her wonderful Southern cooking, her caring and nurturing spirit, her deep devotion to her husband and family, and her incredible sense of humor. Her grandchildren especially remember her funny personality, her unforgettable mannerisms, and the joy she brought into every room. She was a natural caregiver who always put others before herself. Some of the fondest memories shared by her daughters and grandchildren were the simple moments spent together during long car rides running errands or traveling on family vacations. Those drives were filled with laughter, heartfelt conversations, and fun car games that became treasured lifelong memories. Her family also lovingly remembers attending church with her and celebrating Easter Sundays together, traditions that meant so much to her and helped shape the close bond within the family. She also had a deep love for animals and always treasured her dogs and cats as part of the family. Family vacations with her children, grandchildren, spouses, and family friends were among her happiest times and created memories that will forever be cherished. She loved Elvis Presley throughout her life, and one of her favorite memories was attending an Elvis concert with her husband during their honeymoon, where they sat in the second row together — a story she always cherished. Her family was truly her life, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
