Corrine Rose Evertsen (Cimini)

Corrine Rose Evertsen, lovingly known as "Grammy" and "Mimi," passed away peacefully at her home in Fruitland Park, Florida, on July 29, 2026, at the age of 84, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 25, 1942, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, Corrine lived a life centered on love, hard work, and unwavering devotion to those around her. She was the kind of person who never met a stranger. She genuinely wanted to know people—their stories, their lives, and what mattered to them. Her kindness, generosity, and compassionate heart left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Throughout her life, Corrine worked tirelessly to provide for her family. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, at Eaton's Paper Factory in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and with Head Start serving children. She later moved to Florida to be closer to her beloved grandchildren, where she worked with foster children at the Boys Ranch. She also enjoyed working and helping in the family restaurant, Pete's Diner, where she loved seeing familiar faces, serving the community, and spending time with those she loved. Above all else, Corrine's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Bernard "Buster" Evertsen; her son, Allan Pharmer, and daughter-in-law, Deidre; her grandchildren, Kayla Salters and her husband, Jonathan, and Zackary Pharmer and his wife, Julia; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Ty, Mila, and Layla Salters. Corrine treasured every moment she spent with her family. She loved being "Grammy" to Kayla and Zack and "Mimi" to Ty, Mila, and Layla. Whether she was taking cruises, traveling to Crystal River and Florida's beautiful beaches with Buster, browsing thrift stores, watching movies, or gathering everyone around the table, she found joy in simply being together. An incredible cook, Corrine expressed her love through food. She embodied the spirit of an Italian grandmother, always making sure everyone had something to eat and never letting anyone leave her home hungry. Feeding people wasn't just something she did—it was one of the many ways she showed her love. She also enjoyed collecting gnomes, listening to music, spending evenings playing Skip-Bo and Uno with her family, and creating the kind of memories that her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will cherish forever. To know Corrine was to know unconditional love. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, whether they had known her for years or had just met her. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, good food, and open arms. She lived with quiet strength, worked harder than anyone, loved without limits, and always put the needs of others before her own. The love she poured into her family will continue to be felt for generations. A memorial service celebrating Corrine's life will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Beyers Funeral Home in Lady Lake, Florida. Though our hearts are broken by her absence, we are forever grateful for the 84 beautiful years she shared with this world and for the immeasurable love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the family she adored, the countless lives she touched, and the memories that will continue to bring comfort, laughter, and love for years to come. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
