Obituary of Dr. Cornelius Jansma Dr. Cornelius "C.J." Jansma, 77 of The Villages, FL died on Thursday, March 11, 2010. He was born in Grand Rapids, MI and moved to The Villages from Holland, MI in 2004. He was a member of the New Covenant United Methodist Church, the American Dental Society and the Michigan Dental Society. He was a Veteran of the US Coast Guard. He enjoyed golf cart rides in The Villages, motor home travels and was a licensed airplane pilot. He was a dog lover; took pleasure in helping people in need; and enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Ruth M. Jansma, The Villages, FL; 4 sons: Tom Jansma, Nicholas Jansma, John Jansma, and Bill Jansma of Grand Rapids, MI; step daughter: Leslie Tascoff, Reston, VA; step son, Doug Tascoff, Grosse Ile, MI; sister, Evelyn Vanderkolk, Grand Rapids, MI, 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at New Covenant United Methodist Church with visitation from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM prior to the service. Reverend Don Hanna will be officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 am on Monday, March 22, 2010 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL with military honors.
