Bonnie Jean Dangler

Bonnie J. Dangler was born April 5, 1929, to Marguerite Brown Smith and Warren Smith, in Ashland County, Ohio and died November 5, 2021, in Tavares at the age of 92. She was a loyal member of Morrison United Methodist Church in Leesburg, Florida for over 60 years where she sang in the choir, participated and played a leadership role in the Methodist Women's organization, taught Sunday school, and served on many church committees. Bonnie graduated from Bowling Green State University in Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. She worked as a music teacher for the Lake County School Board for many years. She was a very loving and caring wife and consistently nurtured her three children while serving in her most important role - being a mother. Bonnie was a world traveler and loved learning about other cultures. She even zip-lined in Costa Rica at the age of 80. Her most passionate hobbies were family gatherings, cooking, and playing her grand piano. Bonnie was very active in Girl Scouts from the 1960's to the early 1980's. She is survived by her children Bradley Davis (and Benito Pastoriza), Jennifer Graves, and Laurie (Davis) Welch-Bolitho (and Bob). Also, her three grandchildren Brittany, Savannah, and Wesley, and five great-grandchildren, Amelia, Parker, Evangeline, Lucie, and Graham. Her sister, Susan Guiher-Huff, along with many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, also survive her. A Memorial Service/Celebration of Life will be held at Morrison United Methodist Church in Leesburg, Florida in the Family Life Center at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 19, 2021, followed by a small reception. An interment service will take place at 2:30 at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell to be placed next to her veteran husband Joseph A. Dangler.
