Obituary of Bernice LaCroix BERNICE LaCROIX, 93, of The Villages, Florida, died Saturday, April 23, 2011. She was born June 23,1917 in Detroit, MI. She attended St. Timothy Catholic Church, Lady Lake, Fl. She moved to The Villages from Bonita Springs, FL in 2001. She was a religious instructor and a member of the St. Anthony Altar Guild, Mancelona, MI. She enjoyed cooking for her family, dancing, bartending, playing cards, pool, traveling, swimming and spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by: Daughters: Carol (Ronald) Kratzke, The Villages, FL, Bernadette (Kenton) Stradinger, The Villages, FL, Mary Cook, The Villages, FL Sons: Norman (Patricia) LaCroix, Flushing, MI, Dennis (Nancy) LaCroix, Charlevoix, MI, Frederick (Susan) LaCroix, North Port, FL, Gary (Janet) LaCroix, Summerfield, FL. Sisters: Betty Dubay, MI, Nancy (Pete) Ayers, GA, Brothers: Harold Meldrum, MI, Michael (Barbara) Meldrum, MI, Teddy (Norene) Meldrum, MI, James Meldrum, MI. 23 Grandchildren, 49 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years Henry LaCroix in 2007 and a granddaughter Gabrielle in 2000. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Lady Lake, Fl. on Friday, April 29 at 10.00 AM with Father Ed Waters, Celebrant. Interment will be at Lady Lake Cemetery, Lady Lake, FL. A Celebration of Mrs. LaCroix's Life will be scheduled at The New Song Church, McClendon St., Lady Lake, Fl on Friday April 29, 2001 at 2:30 PM.
