Obituary of Bernice Brandner BERNICE (MARKOVETZ) BRANDNER, 81, of Lady Lake, Florida, died Wednesday, October 20, 2010. She was born and raised in Aberdeen, South Dakota prior to living in Hammond, Indiana. She moved to The Villages in 1988 from Munster, Indiana. She was in the choir and was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, Lady Lake, Florida. She taught Line Dancing at Spanish Springs; was a former PTA member, Girl Scout Leader and was an active volunteer for All Saints Catholic Church in Hammond Indiana. She enjoyed line dancing, golf, church choir, and spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by: 2 Daughters: Karen (Dr. James) Sliwa of Munster, IN Jeanne (John) Wolsiefer of LaPorte, IN 1 Son: Jim (June) Brandner of Granger, IN 8 Grandchildren: Jenny (Josh) Herold of Munster, IN Beth (Kenn) Timm of Schererville, IN Katie Sliwa of Chicago, IL Molly Sliwa of Munster, IN Shelly Wolsiefer of Michigan City, IN David Wolsiefer of LaPorte, IN Laura Brandner of Alameda, CA Eric Brandner of West Lafayette, IN She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ray; son, David; parents, Rose & Adolph Markovetz; and 2 sisters, Louise and Mary Jean. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. Timothy Catholic Church, Lady Lake, FL. A visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a Wake Service at 6:00 PM on Monday, October 25, 2010 at Beyers Funeral Home Chapel, Lady Lake, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Timothy Choir, St. Timothy Catholic Church, 1351 Paige Place, Lady Lake, FL 32159; or to Ronald McDonald House, One Kroc Drive, Oak Brook, IL 60523.
