Obituary of Barbara Sharp Barbara J. Sharp Daughter of Vernon and Josie Mercer went to the arms of the Lord after a long illness on August 23, at Hospice House of Tavares. Barbara moved from Beaverton Michigan in 2004 to Lake Griffin Mobile Home Park of Leesburg. She is survived by her husband Lewis Gerald Sharp of Leesburg Florida. She leaves behind 5 children; James (Deb) Shreeve, Van Buren Arkansas, Michelle (Troy) Frasher, Beaverton, Michigan, Michael (Tina) Shreeve, Palmdale, California, Jan (Brad) Weaver, Bloomington, Illinois, and Thomas D. Shreeve, Grand Rapids, Michigan and 4 step children Anna Mooney, Logan, W. Virginia, Carol Willford, Gladwin, Michigan, Barry Sharp, Gladwin, Michigan, Tina (Keith) Balmer, Denver Colorado, brother James (Shirley) Mercer, Beaverton Michigan, sisters Coralee (Charlie) Cassiday, Lady Lake Florida, Dorothy Baldwin, Bay City, Michigan, her best friend Annie (Don) Courneya Beaverton Michigan and many grand children and great grand children. Preceding her in death her parents, sisters Betty Sutherland, Dola Kleinhardt, Mary Ellen Brown, brother Bill Mercer. Barbara was born in Beaverton Michigan June 20, 1931. She graduated from Beaverton High School. She retired from Brown Machine in Beaverton before moving to Leesburg. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Leesburg. She will be remembered for her loving care of her family and Jerry. She always had quick wit and enjoyed the many friends she has made along her life journey. She enjoyed doing crafts and made quilts for all of her children and grandchildren. The family will be forever grateful to Hank and Carol Fischer for their care and love for Mom and Jerry, and to Dr. Thaper, Dr. Brown, and Hospice House of Tavares, we always knew she had the best, loving care possible. A memorial service will be held Monday August 27th at 11:00am at Christ United Methodist Church, 1313 Griffin Rd., Leesburg Florida.
