Obituary of Barbara Beal Barbara P. Beal, 85, of The Villages, Florida died Friday, July 29, 2011 after an extended illness. She was the beloved wife of Philip C. Beal, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Beal was born in 1926 to William G. and Hester Brown of Gloucester, MA. She graduated from The Dana Hall School, Pine Manor Junior College and The Garland School. Mr. and Mrs. Beal formerly resided in Hanover, MA, for forty years, where they raised four children. In 1990 they retired to Venice FL and in 2002 they made The Villages their home. For more than twenty years Mrs. Beal was a Registrar of Voters for the Town of Hanover. She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, The Red Hat Society, The Hanover Garden Club, and The Bluewater Fog Runners of the North American Hemisphere. She was a Master Nantucket Basket artisan. She also enjoyed knitting, painting and was an avid sailor. Along with her husband, survivors include sons Peter & Mary Beth Beal of Newtown, CT; Stephan & Cynthia Beal of San Diego, CA and daughters Kirkley Paige Beal of Pittsburgh, PA and Sandra & Michael Willard of Williamsburg, VA. She is also survived by grandchildren John, Caroline, & Christopher Beal of Newtown, CT; Owen and Alexander Beal of San Diego, CA; and Christine Hutto and Ryan Willard of Williamsburg, VA and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be scheduled at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Churchill Cemetery in Norwell, MA.
