Arunaben Shah, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025 in Tavares, Florida. Born in Ahmedabad, India in 1939, Arunaben was the heart of her family. She and her late husband, Jayant Shah, shared over 68 years of marriage, beginning their life together in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, where they raised their two sons, Tushar and Nitesh. A pillar of strength and grace, Arunaben supported Jayant through his studies, career, and the family’s immigration to the United States in 1975. Though she never sought the spotlight, her presence illuminated every room. Whether preparing home-cooked meals, tending to her home, or welcoming neighbors and guests with warmth and hospitality, Arunaben embodied love, resilience, and devotion. Her quiet wisdom and unwavering support were instrumental to the successes of those around her. In her later years, Arunaben found joy in the company of her grandchildren—Daniel, Jason, Patrick, and Priya—and great-grandchildren, Noelle and Nathan. She was deeply involved in the Shantiniketan community, where she formed deep friendships and continued to live a life rooted in service, prayer, and connection. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Jayant, her son Nitesh, and several siblings and extended family members. She is survived by her devoted son Tushar, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and countless relatives and friends who were blessed by her love and kindness. A memorial service and cremation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd at 11:00AM at Beyers Funeral Home, 1123 W. Main St, Leesburg, FL 34748. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Arunaben’s name to a charity of your choice. Arunaben Shah’s life was a testament to quiet strength, enduring love, and deep devotion to family. She will be forever missed and lovingly remembered.
