Obituary of Arthur Knight Arthur Westberry Knight died on September 20, 2011, at the age of 83 in Leesburg, FL. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, stepfather, and grandfather. He is survived by Kathryn, his wife of 32 years. Mr. Knight was a proud third generation Floridian, born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. He received his high school education from Georgia Military Academy. Upon completion, he served in the U.S. Navy for four years during the Korean Conflict. He received his college degree in Business Administration from Florida State University where he was a member of the SAE Fraternity and remained an avid FSU sports fan throughout his life. Mr. Knight moved to Leesburg in 1956 where he worked as an accountant for Manly Construction Co. and later as a realtor, his profession at the time of his retirement. An active member of his community, Mr. Knight was affiliated with the Lion's Club, the Heritage Society, and the Chamber of Commerce as well as the Elk's Club where he obtained the position of Exalted Ruler. He also had been active in the Presbyterian Church, where he served as an Elder, and later the Episcopal Church. In addition to his loving wife, Kathryn, Mr. Knight is survived by his son, Arthur, Jr.(Andrea), and their daughters, Nicole and Rachel; stepson, Gordon Oldham III(Linda), his daughter, Cristen Barnes (Jim), his son, Gordon Oldham IV(Kristen), and their son, Byron Oldham; stepson, John Oldham(Suzanne), and their children, Caroline and Ryan; stepdaughter, Carey Oldham Campbell(Kevin), and their daughters, Aubrey, Andrea, and Allyson; his brother, Dr. Robert Knight(Nadine); nephews, Larry and Bob(Susan); and niece, Cinthia Donahue(Tom). Mr. Knight was predeceased by his first wife, Jo Ann Ferguson, and his daughter, Jolee Knight. A Memorial Service will be held at St. James Episcopal Church on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 10:30 AM with Father Jay Lambert officiating. Memorial gifts may be made to St. James Episcopal Church or to Cornerstone Hospice.
