Obituary of Andrew Pattillo Andrew G. Pattillo, Jr. Andrew G. Pattillo, Jr. ("Pat"), 81, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010. He was born in Daytona Beach, Florida on February 8, 1929. He was a second generation Floridian. He graduated from Orlando High School, the University of Florida and the University of Florida College of Law. He married the former Mary Alice Herlong on September 5, 1953. They moved to Ocala in 1954 and became members of the First United Methodist Church. He served the Church in many capacities throughout his life. He practiced law in Ocala for over four decades. He was past president of the Florida Bar Foundation and a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Mary Alice Herlong Pattillo; his five children Pat Pattillo and his wife Donna of Redondo Beach, CA; Margaret Williams and her husband Wayne of Port St. Lucie, FL and their children Elizabeth and Erin; Nancy Barron and her husband Dale of Ocala, FL and their children Jake, Tanner, Mac and Catie; Anne Kail and her husband Tom of Sugar Land, TX and their children Patrick, Nathan and Christian; Jim Pattillo and his wife, Amy of Birmingham, AL and their children Will, Matthew and Abigail; his brother John Pattillo and his wife Peg of Orlando, FL; his sister Mary Katherine Wells and her husband Gordon of Oakwood, GA; and his three sisters-in-law Margaret Mayfield and her husband Jim of Leesburg, FL; Dorothy Hay and her husband Charles of Leesburg, FL; and Sydney Johnson of Alexandria, VA. A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Ocala. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the United Methodist Children's Home in Enterprise, FL or to the First United Methodist Church of Ocala's Pastor's Discretionary Fund.
