Amber Jane Prescott

On January 9th, 2026 Amber made her final journey to join her dad Joe and daughter Brooklyn to be with her Lord. In case you don’t know; Amber was a wife, mother of 4, teacher, softball player and coach, who lit up the world with her infectious laugh and smile. She made a lasting impression on everyone she met. Amber was born in Altamonte Springs and spent her whole life in the Fruitland Park Leesburg area. Amber is the cherished daughter of the late Joseph Robert Junior and Sue Ann Williams. Amber was destined for the sports! At just 3 days old, “The baby" was at her brother Tom's high school soccer game. Her formative Years spent homeschooling were rich with softball, gymnastics, Girl Scouts, 4H, Youth group at New Life Presbyterian Church and volunteering at Uncle Donald’s Farm. Amber graduated Cum Laude from Leesburg High School while pitching Varsity softball, Varsity volleyball and a participant in pageants proudly earning titles of Junior Miss Fruitland Park and Miss Fruitland Park. Her academic journey continued with an athletic scholarship at Lake-Sumter Community College, where she earned her Associate in Arts degree while pitching for the LSCC Lakers softball team. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management degree at Lake-Sumter State College, where she also began her coaching career as an assistant softball coach. Amber’s professional path led to positions as a keyholder at Belks, an international banker and loan processor at USB while engaging in various community events and back to Leesburg High School as an English teacher and fittingly girls’ softball Coach guiding the team for two winning seasons. Her greatest joy was her family. In 2018, she married her husband Thomas Paul Prescott and together had 4 children; Payton Skye, the late Brooklyn Layla, Aria Brook and Hudson Michael. Amber was a very active Mom with Payton and Aria’s various activities. And still played softball. Amber also held a special place in her heart for her siblings, Thomas Dean Drunasky Jr. (Jaime Berlyn) St. Petersburg, Tammie Jo Drunasky and Joseph Robert Williams Jr. and her 6 nephews. With boundless energy and capacity for love Amber embraced life pouring her heart into everything and everyone around. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished. Her memory remains a beacon, guiding and inspiring all who were fortunate enough to know her. A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the Good News Church, 400 Executive Blvd, Leesburg, FL 34748 with services beginning at 2:00 PM with Pastor Mark Schilling and Pastor John Blake officiating, interment to follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Fruitland Park, FL. Arrangements entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home of Leesburg, Florida.
