Obituary of Alice Yacukowicz Alice Yacukowicz, 87, Lady Lake, FL, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2011. She was born in Kenosha, WI to George and Louise Thomas and married John Yacukowicz in January, 1947. She and John moved to The Villages in January 1986 from Kenosha, WI. She was a charter member of St. Timothy's Catholic Church, a charter member of Executive Golf Advisory Group, past President of the Silver Lake Ladies' Golf Group and a member of the Wisconsin Club and Silver Lake Ladies Club. She enjoyed golf, bocci, bowling and cards. She is survived by her children: Patricia Moore, John Yacukowicz and Peter (Susie) Yakowicz, grandchildren: Julie Reed, Christopher Moore, Ryan Yakowicz, Erik Anderson-Yacukowicz, Alec Anderson-Yacukowicz, Evan Yakowicz, Jackson Yakowicz and Sallie Yakowicz; and one great grandchild, Alyssa Reed. She is also survived by five sisters Marcella Mueller, Jean Murphy, Rita Christensen, Kathleen DeCono and Ann McDonough and three brothers, Joe Thomas, Ralph Thomas and Leo Thomas. She was predeceased by her husband John in August 2001, two sisters, Mildred Penza and Marie Hanrath, and four brothers, Jerome Thomas, Vincent Thomas, Charles Thomas and George Thomas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Timothy's Catholic Church in The Villages, Florida, on Friday, April 29, 2011, 8:30a.m. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a wake service at 7:30p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Beyers Funeral Home in Lady Lake, FL. Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Academy, 2401 69th Street, Kenosha, WI 53143 or American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave., Suite 800, Washington, D.C. 20004.
