Obituary of Walter Deuster Walter T. Deuster, 87, Lady Lake, Florida died sunday, August 29, 2010. Born in Hanau, Germany, Migrated to The United States in 1928 with his parents a sister. Elementary and high school educated in Long Island, New York and receive a full sports scholarship with Franklin-Marshall College, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He was a protestant, A U.S. Army WWII veteran and participated in The European Theatre at Normandy, Ardennes, Northern France, Rhineland and Sicily. Also, The North Africa Theatre in Tunisia. He was the recipient of 2 Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star; The Conspicuous Service Medal from The State of New York. He enjoyed Horseshoes and participated in Local, State, National and Worldwide Tournaments. He enjoyed playing Golf, Bowling and enjoyed traveling especially cruising. He moved to the Villages in 1988 from Hampton Bays, Long Island, New York. Survivors Include: Wife, Phyllis J. Deuster, The Villages, 2 Step-Sons, Gary Moore, Newport, Rhode Island, Mark Moore, Dallas, Texas, 1 Step-Daughter, Julie Cook, Bellevue, Michigan, 1 Sister, Lottie Valentine, St. Petersburg, Florida, 1 Brother-In-Law, Jerry Baum, Charlotte, Michigan, 2 nephews: Charles Valentine, St. Petersburg, FL and Robert Valentine, Zephyrhills fl; 5 Grandchildren and 7 Greatgrandchildren. Graveside services will be held at Florida National Cemetery on Friday October 15, 2010 at 2:00 PM with full military honors.
