Obituary of Marybeth Roose Marybeth R. Roose passed into the presence of the heavenly Father on June 25th, 2011 following her death in The Villages, Florida after the onset of breast cancer. She was 63 years of age. Marybeth leaves behind her high school sweetheart and loving husband, Jim, whom she married on November 28, 1969 in Detroit, MI. This loving union produced two children; Scott Joseph and Stacy Anne. Scott and wife Bridget have two sons, William and Christian, ages 9 and 6, respectively. Stacy and husband Michael, have two children, Sebastian, age 5 years and Samantha, age 2 years. Marybeth was born on September 05, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio to Francine (Edwards) and William V. Schlee. She has been preceded in death by both parents. Marybeth is survived by her sister, Patricia Marks and her husband Michael. She is also survived by nephews John Jackovich, Jason Jackovich, Chad Jackovich and niece Jessica Marks. Marybeth earned a Bachelor of Science Degree and Secondary Teaching Certification from Eastern Michigan University; a Master of Arts Degree from University of Detroit; a Specialist Degree in Education from Eastern Michigan University and a Doctorate in Educational Administration from Michigan State University. During her tenure in education, Marybeth was fortunate to teach at both high school and college levels. Most of her 35 years in education were spent, however, in Central Office Administration where she fulfilled such roles as Director of Community Education, Director of District Communications and Director of Local, State and Federal Grants. Marybeth was devoted to helping others and was a member of The Rotary Club of Brighton, Michigan and The Rotary Club of The Villages, Florida. Marybeth was also the Co-Founder of the Friends for a Cure Relay for Life Team. The family will receive friends at Beyers Funeral Home in Lady Lake, Florida on Wednesday, June 29th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Vincent De Paul's in Wildwood, Florida on Thursday, June 30th at 8:30 AM, There will be a viewing at the Church at 7:30 AM prior to the mass.
