Obituary of Marilyn (Lynn) Granger Marilyn (Lynn) Gannett Granger, age 88, formerly of The Villages, FL died Tuesday, August 7, 2012. Born in St. Johnsbury, VT, May 3, 1924, to the late Malcolm F. and Kathleen Campbell Gannett, she graduated from William Penn High School, York, PA in 1942. She and her late husband, Conway, moved to Spring Hill, FL in 1984 from Alexandria, VA. She relocated to The Villages in 1998 and most recently to Oxford in 2009. She retired from Fairfax County Public Schools, Fairfax, VA in 1982. She was previously employed for 14 years with the Eastern Area Headquarters of the American Red Cross in Alexandria, VA. She is predeceased by daughter Robin Kathleen Caldwell, Houston, TX. She is survived by daughters Lori Granger Blake and husband Michael Blake of Winter Springs, FL; Gina Granger Gibbons and husband Patrick Gibbons of Chesapeake, VA; 3 grandsons; 2 granddaughters; 2 great granddaughters; and a great great grandson. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home on Sunday, August 12, 2012. Rev. Jerry Montgomery will lead the funeral service on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Immanuel Baptist Church, 8015 SE 180th Street, Oxford, FL 34484. Following the service, Lynn will be buried with Conway at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, Lynn has asked that contributions be made to the building fund of Immanuel Baptist Church, c/o 825 Walker Loop, The Villages, FL 32162.
