Obituary of Constance King Constance (Steinbrenner) King, 84, The Villages, FL passed away on Monday, October 29, 2012. Connie was born in Buffalo, NY in 1928, moved to Rhode Island in 1970 and relocated to The Villages in 2009. Our mom was a true friend to everyone she met & always wanting to help anyone in need. Everyone who met our mom felt a strong, loving, full-of-life beautiful woman. With her great wit & sense of humor, she loved life to its fullest. Mom's greatest joy in life was for her children, grandchildren & their families. Mom worked in Buffalo, NY @ Curtis Wright for the WWII effort making pistons for airplane engines. After raising her children she relocated to Rhode Island & taught Montessori early childhood education & later in life worked in retail for fine jewelry, cosmetics & modeling until she retired. Amazingly, mom received her navigation certificate at age 70, purchased a cabin cruiser & piloted the waterways & Atlantic ocean of Rhode Island. Mom had an enormous passion for shopping but also enjoyed cooking, reading & toll painting. Her favorite pastimes with her new found friends in The Villages was of course shopping but also experiencing the cuisine, theater & beauty of the area , playing cards & bingo. Mom truly loved her new home here in the Villlages, looking out over her pool and watching the birds & butterflys & would get so excited when she would see a lemon growing on her newly planted tree. Said it was the happiest she'd ever felt. Survivors include her two loving daughters, Carolyn Ziemann (Fred) & Diane Boeck (Tom), her beloved, dear companion, Boyd Biehle, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren & 2 great, great grandchildren. Mom will be interned at Acacia Park Cemetery in Buffalo, NY with her family. To remember her life and pray for the repose of her soul, a memorial mass in The Villages will be held at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church on November 26, 2012 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, friends & family who wish may send memorials to The American Cancer Society, Moffitt Cancer Hospital, or the American Lung Association.
