Carol McCall

Mrs. Carol McCall of Eustis, FL left to be with Jesus for eternity on August 20, 2024. She was 89. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Lake Eustis Christian Church, 315 E. Orange Ave, Eustis, FL with Pastor Brent Elliott officiating. The viewing will be from 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. The service will be from 11:00 a.m. – 12 Noon. The interment will be on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Umatilla Cemetery on Golden Gem Drive in Annex II, Umatilla, FL. Carol was born in Bradford, PA on November 27, 1934 to the late Francis A. Nelson and Charlotte Elliott Nelson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Francis and her sisters Jacqueline and Jean. She is survived by her brother Bill and her sister Virginia. Her husband Malcolm McCall went home to be with the Lord on April 17, 2011. Carol was a devoted wife and treasure to Malcolm. Her first priority was to be his sweetheart, best friend and partner. She was a loving mother to her children, and is survived by her son Nathan (Kelley), her daughter Linda (Pat) and her son Michael (Penny). The size of her heart grew with each of her 8 grandchildren, Karrie, Kyle, Klayton, Kristi, Stefani, Jason, Taylor and Nic. Then along came more to love with her 7 great-grandchildren, Hayden, Kendal, Kallie, Bryson, Aria, Ella Rae and Audrey. Any activity Malcolm was involved in Carol was at his side to support and help him from local charity Bar-b-q’s to campaign treasurer. Carol enjoyed small gatherings of friends in their home and large seasonal family reunions. She loved physical activity and was an avid member of local health clubs. She had a green thumb for anything that bloomed and had a fragrance. She was very proud of her red climbing roses along the front of her home for many years, along with gardenias, confederate jasmine, wisteria and Florida orchid trees. When she could, she was happy to curl up with a good book. In her retirement years with Malcolm, they were in the Word while watching the Shepherd’s Chapel. Then along came Turner Classic Movies, the Hallmark channel and many Westerns. She had a joyful personality, was generous to so many and will be remembered as a wife, mom and friend.
