Obituary of Audrey Fisher Audrey Marie Good Fisher, 86, was a resident of The Villages, FL. passed away Sunday Septemeber 20, 2009 in The Villages, Florida. Audrey was born and raised in Monticello, Maine and lived in Falmouth Maine for 20 years before moving to Florida. She was a member of the Jr. Women's League of Portland, Maine. Audrey was the 1940 Maine Potato Blossom Queen. She retired after 24 years with Allstate Insurance Company. Family and friends called her the "Cookie Nanny" because she loved to make cookies for everybody. She was a member of the North Lake Presbyterian Church in Lady Lake, FL. Audrey was preceeded in death by her husband of 40 years, Stanwood E. Fisher, Jr. and her three brothers Herschel, Lawrence and Garth Good. She is survived by her sister, Ruth Stearns of Hampden, Maine: two daughters: Judith Fahey of The Villages, FL. And Susan Edick of Hoschton, GA.; 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Memorial Services for Mrs. Audrey Marie Good Fisher will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home with Chaplain Joe Walker, officiating. Friends may call Saturday from 10:00 A.M until the hour of service. This is a copy of her favorite Cookie Recipe she would love to share with everyone: CHOCOLATE CRINKLES Cup vegetable oil 4 squares unsweetened melted choc. 2 cups granulated sugar 4 eggs 2 tsp. vanilla 2 cups all purpose flour 2 tsp. baking powder tsp. salt cup confectionary sugar (at least) In a separate dish mix flour, baking powder and salt. Mix oil, chocolate and granulated sugar, Mix up well. Now add in eggs one at a time, beating well after each egg. And add vanilla. Now put in the flour mixture and beat by hand. Now put in small bowl, cover and chill overnight. Drop mixture by teaspoon into confectionary sugar, roll and shape into balls (small) Place about 2" apart. Put on greased or parchment paper on baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes in a 350? oven. DO NOT OVERBAKE These cookies can be placed in a freezer for a later date.
