Eugene (Jean) Turner Millican who loved to be called “Mama Jean” by her grandchildren, departed her loving family on November 21, 2020. Jean was born in Skipperville, Alabama on August 15,1926 to Snodie and Benjamin Turner. Jean was mother to Jan White and Jackie Stanfield. She raised her children with love and devotion in Umatilla with her husband, Jack Millican. She was most proud of being a lifelong member of Umatilla First Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children, Jan White, Jackie (Bruce) Stanfield; grandchildren, Tyler White, Amanda Stanfield, Connie Humphrey; and great grandchild Gabe Cuellar.
Aside from the children, she doted on Yvonne & Dave Pruett and thought of Yvonne as her third daughter as well as Mary & Jerry Carter who were her caregivers and friend.
Due to the COVID virus, a graveside service will be held for Jean in the summer of 2021. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Altoona United Methodist Church in Altoona, Florida in Jean Millican’s name or to your favorite charity. Arrangements were entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home of Umatilla, Florida.
