Cecil Taylor went home to be with the Lord on November 21, 2020 at the age of 84. Cecil was born on April 6, 1936 to Lonnie and Martha Taylor in Lake Butler, Florida.
Cecil was a long time member of Bay Lake Missionary Baptist Church and a devoted Christian who loved the Lord. He proudly served in the Army from 1954-1957 and worked as a mechanic for automatic machinery for 30+ years. He loved to hunt, fish and take care of his garden. He had a love for music and used his talents to worship the Lord. He will forever be missed by many.
Cecil is survived by June Taylor, his wife of 63 years, and his children Gayle (Kenny) Moss of Groveland, Florida and Eddie Taylor of Butler, Georgia. He is also survived by grandchildren; Amanda (Steve) Boyd and Melissa Moss, great grandchildren; Taylor, Logan, Samantha, Adyson and Aubrey as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lonnie and Martha Taylor.
Services will be held on Monday November 23rd, 2020 at Bay Lake Missionary Baptist Church in Groveland, Florida. The viewing will be at 10 AM with services to follow at 11 AM.
