Anne Helen Talmadge, 94, passed away November 24, 2019 in Leesburg, FL.

Anne was born on April 21, 1925 to Rudolph E. Jansky and Anne E. (Schaeffer) Jansky in New York. She graduated from Joliet Township High School and Silver Cross School of Nursing. Anne worked as a nurse at Research Hospital in Chicago where she met her loving husband, Joseph Talmadge, and they were married on September 4, 1948. They lived in Joliet, IL and New Lenox, IL. They were married 70 years until the death of Joseph in January 2019.
Anne’s career as a nurse spanned 40 years and she worked in Public Health, at Silver Cross Hospital and in home health until her retirement in 1987 when she and Joe moved to Leesburg, FL. Anne spent her retirement time with family and friends. They were very active with boating, square dancing and traveling in their recreational vehicle to explore the United States and Mexico.
Anne is survived by her 3 children: son, Lawrence (Kathleen) Talmadge of New Lenox, IL; daughter, Marilyn (Thomas) Bettenhausen of Lexington, Kentucky: son, Gary of Leesburg, Florida; 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
A memorial service for the family will be held at a later date.
