Animal. I am not even sure where to begin. I feel like it was yesterday as we rolled through the streets of Tal Afar, though it’s been much longer. You were definitely your own person, a bit different from the others but always ready to do your job and protect the rest of those in your squad. I remember your positive attitude even when things were less than positive. In the years since we may have drifted apart, with the exception of a few facebook messages and comments but seeing you on Facebook always brought a smile. The world is a bit less with out you in it brother. I hate the fact that your life ended prematurely but I do know that you definitely left a lasting impression on this world, one that won’t ever be forgotten by those that met you. Rest easy my brother, and keep the beer cold until we meet again.

From the second that we met you altered the course of my life. I have never known anyone like you. The things we did, the places we went...I mean, we watched the entire series of GOT in 8 days! and...words. My heart is broken, friend. We had plans. I will miss you for the rest of my life.
