Obituary

Roy B. Williams formerly of Minersville, PA, passed away on October 12, 2019 in The Villages, FL, with his longtime partner, Karen Cusack, at his side. He had resided in Wilmington, DE for thirty-five years prior to moving to Florida.

Roy, son of the late Raymond Williams and Elizabeth Hoban Williams of Minersville, PA, was a graduate of Minersville High School (1956) and Williamson Trade School (1959). Roy served in the US Army before making Scott Paper his career for 34 years, retiring in 1994.

Roy is survived by his loving companion, Karen Cusack, of The Villages, FL, his sister Rae Zartman (Glenn) of Litiz, PA, and his children, Raymond Williams (Chrissy) of Aston, PA and his daughter Michele Kowall (Greg) of Ridley Township, PA. Roy is survived by 10 grandchildren (Brandon, Carly, Carolyn, Adam, Danielle, Olivia, Justin, Jennifer, Julia and Jessica) and 1 great-grandchild (Anthony).

Roy enjoyed many years of hunting and fishing with the Harding Deer Camp, in Lycoming County, PA, having been introduced to hunting and fishing there by his grandfather. Roy also enjoyed traveling with Karen, exploring the various locations throughout the United States, and trying their luck at the casinos.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Beyers Funeral Home, 134 North Hwy 27/441, Lady Lake, Florida. Inurnment at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL at 1:00 PM with Military Honors.

In lieu of flowers, please send any contribution to your local Hospice House or Special Olympics.

Roy was a great guy I enjoyed spending time with him he taught me a lot about fishing he will be missed

Roy was one of our brothers at the Harding. We could always rely on him to get work done or to go out for a hunt. We have many fond memories of his quick wit and dry humor. He will be missed.
