Lorraine Jean Mongiovi “Rainey” (70) of Leesburg, FL passed away peacefully at Cornerstone Hospice, The Villages FL, October 1, 2019. Lorraine was born June 15, 1949 in Altoona, Pennsylvania.

Lorraine is survived by her daughter Gina Marie Shock of Orlando, FL, her son Anthony B. Mongiovi Jr. of Asheville, NC; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Kimberly (Robert Jr) Fahnholz of Jackson, NJ and Gwendolyn Campbell of Hazlet, NJ along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony B. Mongiovi Sr, her parents Glenn and Doris Kendrick, her brother Robert P. DeStito Jr, and her biological father Robert P. DeStito Sr.
Lorraine just retired as an Academic Teachers Assistant working with the Lake County School System in June, 2019. She loved children and investing to develop their educational skills. She also enjoyed shopping; she liked bright colors. She loved animals, particularly her two cats. She also enjoyed knitting as well as working and playing on the computer. She was a Christian with a loving, joyful spirit, who was always willing to help others. She has left beautiful memories and will be greatly missed.
There will be a memorial service celebrating her life at Beyers Funeral Home at 1123 W. Main St in Leesburg, FL on Sunday, October 6. There will be a gathering from 12:00 to 1:00 PM with the celebration service beginning at 1:00 PM. Pastor Bill Birdsall will be officiating.
