Julie Kay Hawkins was born November 12, 1956 in Muncie, Indiana to Travis and Rosalee Jones. She grew up in south Florida with her sister Ginger and brother Steve, and enjoyed swimming, motor cross, and anything outdoors. In 1981 she met her spouse and the love of her life Don Hawkins. They moved to central Florida, and together they raised three sons and a daughter. Julie always had an open door and heart for any person or animal that was in need, and never expected anything in return. She was always accepting of people for who they were without judgement. Her optimism and positive outlook on life was an inspiration to everyone she came in contact with. Later in life her depilating disease took a toll on her physically, but she never waivered her strong love for her family, friends, and vibrant life. Above all she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Donald Richard Hawkins, daughter Kelly Box, Sons Travis Cahill, Brian Hawkins, and Donald Albritton, Parents Travis and Rosalee Jones, sister Ginger Griffin and brother Steve Jones, as well as twelve grandchildren. Julie was an angel on earth that has been set free, but she will continue to watch over us all. We will miss her dearly as she lives on forever in our hearts.
