Stanley Reed Dudley rejoined his loved ones in heaven on June 30, 2018. In his life, Stan forged a 71 year trail of laughter, generosity, compassion, and love. He was a lifelong resident of Weirsdale, FL. Stan loved his small town life and could often be found around town sipping on a coca-cola and sharing a story with one of his many friends.
Born on June 17, 1947, Stan was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and exploring our beautiful country. Stan also appreciated working outside and thought that a lot of stress could be overcome if you just spent enough time on a tractor.
Stan was a devoted family man who loved to be involved with his grandchildren’s many endeavors. They knew they could always count on Papa to offer great advice or words of wisdom. Stan cherished nothing more than “Sunday Family Dinner” where he was surrounded by those he loved the most.
Stan’s enthusiasm for life and love of a good joke will be joyfully carried on by his high school sweetheart and wife of 50 years, Kathy, children Gregg and Renee Dudley and Kristen and Eric Wilson, grandchildren Stanley Reed II, Hannah, Miranda, and Josh, sister, Jammie Lewis, and countless other relatives.
Memorial donations in Stan’s name may be made to Hospice of Marion County.
